Digital Hand Strength Evaluation Kit
These digital instruments help to eliminate mathematical calculation errors by calculating statistics such as averages and standard deviations. The dynamometer and pinch gauge together provide meaningful results on two types of hand strength, involving multiple different muscles. With the finger goniometer, healthcare professionals can measure the range of motion in a patient’s finger to evaluate the stage of their recovery. The Jamar Pinch Gauge features an easy to read LCD display with a push button console allowing the user to zero readings and is ideal for hospitals and clinics. The push button is also used to accurately store up to 99 readings.
Jamar Plus+ Digital Hand Dynamometer Tests Grip Strength
Providing important measurements about rehabilitation progress, the Jamar Plus+ Hand Evaluation Kit measures hand and finger grip strength. The Jamar Plus+ Digital Hand Dynamometer tracks hand grip strength by automatically calculating the average, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation. The digital dynamometer has electronic load cells which increase accuracy when measuring grip strength. Users can adjust the grip handle to one of five different positions to fit each user’s hand. The digital hand dynamometer allows a collection of up to five trials for both right and left hand. Users can view the measurements on easy-to-read LCD display.
Kit Screens for Hand Trauma and Dysfunction
Jamar has been the standard tool to measure hand strength for over 40 years. With its hydraulics and isometric design, the kit evaluates for hand trauma and dysfunction by measuring the maximum isometric strength of the hand and forearm muscles. This gives PTs, OTs, and CHTs an easy way to track and document their patient’s progress as they move through therapy. The hand evaluation instruments measure force in pounds and kilograms. The needle on both the dynamometer and goniometer automatically retains the highest reading until reset.
